  OMG this would be so useful. I'm currently talking the venue merging problem, using Foursquare as my default case. I think Gowalla is the only one that's solved this problem publicly, but they don't expose it as a service. Though when you check-in with their API, they do return the foursquare venue id.

  Also interesting would be other location IDs from other providers:
  Gowalla
  Locationary
  SimpleGeo
  OpenStreetMap

  Please list others that would be interesting here too.

  Ideally the list would be a deduped. And given a venue name and lat/long provide a list of possible matches across facebook, foursquare, yelp and google.
